3rd General Meeting - January 28, 2021 - Webinar
Fiduciary Issues with Cryptocurrency
Lauren A. Galvani, J.D., LL.M. (Taxation)
Snyder & Snyder, P.A.
As clients seek to cash in on the exciting prospects of cryptocurrency, their fiduciaries must proceed with extreme caution. Used properly and with the appropriate instruction, blockchain technology can provide an indisputable ledger of payments, activities, agreements for a trustee to keep errant beneficiaries at bay in any court proceeding. Lacking the appropriate knowledge, care, and “armor,” this technology is nothing short of hari-kari for an unwise fiduciary. This presentation will discuss blockchain technology in the hands of a fiduciary, traps for the unwary, and protective measures.
